Summit to sea, and back for dinner
You land at Evenes on a Saturday. From that moment until you board your flight home, every transfer, permit, meal, and forecast decision already has an owner — and it isn't you. A private skiff moves you between fjords; a fisherman's cabin on the water is yours for the week; your guide chooses each morning's line against the snow and the light.
Day 01
Arrive · Evenes → Lofoten
Met at the gate at Harstad/Narvik airport. The drive into the islands is the briefing room: gear check, weather picture, and dinner waiting at your cabin.
Day 02–03
First lines
Classic couloirs and open faces within skinning distance of the water. The skiff shadows the group — ski to the shoreline, step aboard, coffee on.
Day 04
Rest, or not
Sauna, sea swim, and the village bakery — or a short tour for the restless. The guide reads the group and the weather.
Day 05–06
The far peaks
Skiff approach to lines that road-based groups never touch. Long descents to the beach, northern lights on a clear night.
Day 07
Home
One last morning lap if flights allow. Transfers and check-in handled; you're home for Sunday dinner.

What Grade 3/5 asks of you
On skis
Confident on red pistes and happy to be off them. Powder mileage helps; touring experience is not required.
Each day
Four to six hours moving, up to 900 m of ascent on skins at a conversational pace. Every day has a shorter honest option.
Fitness
If you can run 10 km or ride 40 km without heroics, you're fit enough. We'll send a simple eight-week prep guide.
Safety skills
None assumed. Transceiver, shovel, and probe are provided; day one starts with avalanche training in the field.

Your inbound flight cancels at 06:12. You find out at breakfast — from us, with the replacement already booked. A 24-hour desk with rebooking authority and pre-negotiated fallbacks stands behind every day of the trip.

A fully refundable deposit holds your places while we confirm every booking. It sits untouched and comes straight back on request at any point before your itinerary is locked — and the balance is only due after it is.
Between booking and boarding: your pre-departure pack — confirmed itinerary, your guide's profile, a packing list, rentals sized by email, an insurance checklist, and a weather briefing 72 hours out.

What stands behind the promise
Guiding standard
IFMGA, and what that means
The International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations is the highest qualification a mountain guide can hold — the same standard behind serious expeditions worldwide. Your guide is named on your itinerary, and you speak with them before you fly.
Mountain safety
Conservative by default
Daily regional avalanche forecast plus the guide's own snowpack tests decide each morning's plan. Transceiver, shovel, probe, and field training are included. The best line is the one everyone skis home from.
Your money
Refundable until locked
The €250 sits untouched and is returned on request at any point before your itinerary is confirmed. We take no balance payment until a booking agreement with statutory package-travel protection is in place — never before. The full terms, in plain language.

Small by design
Sixteen travelers, two departures, one founder answering every email. We'd rather run two flawless weeks than ten forgettable ones — the algorithm can wait; the standard can't.

A note from the founder
I started The Adventure Travel Co. because of the trips I didn't take. The Lofoten week that stayed a browser tab for three winters. The plan that died because somewhere between the fourth supplier email and the ferry timetable, the adventure stopped feeling like one.
I believe people like us don't lack money or nerve — we lack the two hundred hours it takes to do a far-away trip properly. So that's the product: we spend the two hundred hours, you spend two. This founding season I am personally on the other end of the form below, the planning call, and the 24-hour phone. Ask me anything, including the hard questions about a company this young.
